The Necessity of Scripture as God’s Personal Word

by on January 24, 2011

Here is a GREAT quote I found in an interview with Michael Horton about his new book The Christian Faith,

“We’re trying out a lot of different sources for faith and life today, from how to be saved to how to plant churches. My sense is that many of us are losing our confidence in the power of God’s Word to create the world of which it speaks.”

I thought this a great way to really synthesize what we’ve been studying in C4, the foundational importance of the Word of God, and what we’ve been reading in Small Group.

We as the church have to have “confidence in the power of God’s Word to create the world of which it speaks.”

A great observation.

UPDATE: Here’s another interview with Michael Horton from 9Marks. It a little more in depth and hits some good questions: Interview with Michael Horton
